Future Objectives
Maternal Hospital & Ambulance Service
Our primary long-term goal is to build a community hospital and provide an ambulance service so that mothers can deliver without fear of not being able to pay hospital bills or lack of transportation to the hospital. The hospital will also act as a central place for educating pregnant mothers throughout their journey. Home deliveries (especially during premature births) and lack of access to hospitals pose significant threats to the lives and well-being of mothers and their children. MOCHO intends to monitor its patients so that no mother registered with us will deliver at home due to economic vulnerability or lack of access. We are looking for partnerships that believe in us and share our vision so that we can help reduce maternal mortality rates and care for the well-being of women, children, and girls in Kenya. We are also looking into partnering with organizations that aim to address societal issues and change the trajectories that exist in our societies. We have vulnerable families among us, and in one way or another, we know of a parent or a young girl who lost a child due to ignorance, neglect, lack of knowledge, or even lack of resources who have been at their worst. We can help them out by empowering these mothers and building a stronger community.
